The Implementation Of Good Corporate Governance Principles In Village Fund Management

The objective of this study is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the application of Good Governance principles in the financial management of Village Funds (DD) in Jatisawit Village, Bumiayu Subdistrict, Brebes Regency. The main focus of the study covers three aspects, namely: (1) The implementation of Good Governance principles in the administration of DD, (2) the factors influencing the success or failure of the application of these principles, and (3) their impact on the effectiveness of village fund utilization in development. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data gathered throught in-depth interviews involving village officials, members of the Vilagge Council (BPD), and local community leaders. The results of the study show that the Jatisawit Village administration has consistently implemented the principles of transparency, accountability, participation, as well as effectiveness and efficiency. Information transparency through infographics and digital media, community participation through village deliberations, and a digital-based financial system are the main supporting factors for the successful management of DD. However, challenges remain in the form of complex administrative systems and limited direct community participation. Overall, the implementation of Good Governance contributes significantly to the effectiveness of development program implementation and increases public trust in the village government. The implications of this research highlight the importance of strengthening the capacity of village officials and simplifying the village financial management system.
