The Effect of Financial Ratios on the Profit Growth of Cosmetics Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2019-2024

The cosmetics industry is an industry with a very high opportunity in profit in each period, but it also has very high risks due to fierce competition and other external factors. This study focuses on identifying the influence of both positive and negative influences between the analysis of financial statements using financial ratio instruments represented by current ratio, debt to equity ratio, net profit margin, and total assets turnover as independent variables on profit growth as a dependent variable in public cosmetics companies that have conducted an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and traded their shares in the public sector. Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2024 Period. 30 data samples were obtained using the secondary data purposive sampling technique of cosmetics companies through the Indonesia Stock Exchange website, www.idx.co.id and also the company's official website. The influence of independent variables on dependent variables was tested by statistical tests including classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, and hypothesis tests using the SPSS 25 tool. The results of the study show that the current ratio, debt to equity ratio has no effect on profit growth. Meanwhile, the ratio of net profit margin and total assets turnover has a positive effect on profit growth.
