Abstract

This study examines the “Ayo Donor” application model in increasing blood donation awareness among students at Politeknik Akbara Surakarta. The research background is based on the increasing need for blood and the opportunity to utilize digital technology as a medium for education and blood donation services. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through questionnaires from application users among Politeknik Akbara students who meet several criteria as research subjects. The criteria include active students at Politeknik Akbara, aged 18-50 years, having donated blood at least once, and owning the Ayo Donor application. A total of 48 students were selected as research subjects. The results show that application features such as online registration, schedule reminder notifications, blood stock information, and digital education significantly facilitate access and increase regular blood donation participation. This study confirms that the “Ayo Donor” application is effective as a service tool, educational medium, and health campaign platform that can build a culture of voluntary and sustainable blood donation. In conclusion, the integration of digital technology in blood donation services is an important strategy to meet the national demand for safe and adequate blood supply.
