This study aims to analyze the role of the Department of Industry and Trade (DISDAGPERIN) in Boyolali Regency in planning and implementing the SME development program. Boyolali has great potential in the SME sector, especially in the metal industry, processed food industry, and craft industry, but still faces obstacles such as limited capital, low digital literacy, and lack of product innovation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of the Department of Industry and Trade (DISDAGPERIN) and SME actors assisted by the department. The results of the study indicate that the Department of Industry and Trade (DISDAGPERIN) plays an important role as a facilitator, mentor, and coordinator in supporting SME development through skills training, business mentoring, capital facilitation, business legality, and product promotion through exhibitions and digital marketing. The implementation of the program has had a positive impact on increasing production capacity, product quality, and the independence of SMEs in Boyolali, although there are still obstacles such as limited budget allocation, human resource development, and low technological adaptability among some SME actors. Overall, the role of DISDAGPERIN has been effective in strengthening SMEs in Boyolali, but improvements are still needed in the aspects of program equity, cross-sector collaboration, and business digitalization to optimize SME competitiveness. impulsive purchases in the digital marketplace.
